This is an out-of-the box review because I recieved them at the tail end of a mild winter. I think they are going to work great. Once the temps are below about 15F, my fingers are my weak points. I've missed so many pictures because of the hassle and pain of removing mittens and gloves in a cold, wet and windy environment. The unique design of these, especially the thumb, resolves the issue. They do have a bit of a plastic-y smell from the materials used, which I expect will dissipate over time. These gloves my be a 5 and I'll rate or update after field use.
